John Gallagher is an award-winning producer,
director, writer and member of the National
Board of Review. His films have been licensed
by such companies as New Line Cinema,
Warners/Ryko, HBO, MGM, ABC, Columbia-TriStar,
Showtime, Polygram, ZDF (Germany), and
Samsung, among others. John's last three
features as writer-director Blue
Moon, The Deli, Men Lie
have earned a dozen awards in international
film festivals for excellence in filmmaking.
As a producer-director, John has worked
with such actors as Ben Gazzara, Rita
Moreno, Ice T, Mike Starr, John Leguizamo,
Michael Imperioli, Chris Noth, Debi Mazar,
Jerry Stiller, Tony Sirico, Vincent Pastore,
Catherine Scorsese, Nicholas Turturro,
Zach Braff, Gretchen Mol, Amanda Peet,
and Heather Matarazzo. Most recently,
John produced and directed the New York
indie Cupidity. He is also the
author of Film Directors on Directing,
and teaches acting at Manhattan's Shetler
Studios.
