Rosebush was an official selection at the BTM 07 Festival in Bradford, England soon after the NBR grant. I was soon commissioned to write my feature film, Swarajya (Self-rule) which is now in production. The pre-production and shooting of Swarajya has been the most occupying and exhausting project that I have worked on since Rosebush, especially considering the magnitude of the project and it being my first feature. I have already shot a schedule and am gearing up for the next. The film has been adapted from an acclaimed novel in Marathi and has some of the best talent associated already. Resul Pookutty (Oscar winner, Slumdog Millionaire) is doing the Sound Design whereas Bhanu Athaiya (Oscar winner, Gandhi) is doing the Costumes. The film stars some well-known Indian actors like Seema Biswas (Water), Milind Soman (Valley Of Flowers, Arn : The Knight Templar), Sachin Khedkar etc. I propose to finish the principal photography by March 2009. Apart from this I have produced a couple of commercials in USA, Germany and India.
